James Hanna is being ordered to repay almost $7,000 on a misdemeanor charge of submitting a false Medicaid claim. The Nevada Attorney General's office says Hanna didn't contest the matter.
Investigators say they found Hanna went on out-of-state vacations, but reported that he was still providing care for a patient in Nevada. They also say he claimed to be serving at times when he was at another job.
The Medicaid personal care assistant program allows people to live independently in their own homes while assisting them with basic household tasks.
