Nevada Highway Patrol officials say the woman was killed in the crash about 6 p.m. Monday on alternate U.S. Route 395, near Bowers Mansion. Her name hasn’t yet been released.
Trooper Barbara Stapleton says the woman was driving a Volkswagen Jetta south when it crossed over the median, overcorrected and struck an embankment. The Jetta hit a fence and rolled.
The woman was wearing a seatbelt.
No other injuries were reported.
