RENO — University of Nevada Education Association volunteers joined the staff and families of the new public, tuition-free charter school in Reno, The Honors Academy of Literature, for move-in day in the River Walk District this month. Future educators partnering with today’s educators, scholars and families is a perfect example of the collaborative model of Reno’s newest charter school, which opened Aug. 13.

The Honors Academy of Literature is a unique 1st through 8th grade learning environment using children’s literature and other proven techniques as the primary approach to teaching content, encouraging critical thinking and developing leadership.
