Ten sheep went without water over a period of five days, including a weekend, and one died of dehydration. Immediate therapeutic intervention was initiated by veterinary staff. Although the potential loss was minimized, two more animals did not survive.
Proper standard operating procedures were in place and this incident was the result of human error. Appropriate personnel actions were taken.
