Monday was declared Jake Dalton Day by the Sparks City Council to honor this member of the U.S. men’s Gymnastics Team, who competed in the just completed London Olympic Games. Here, with his parents, Tim and Denise Dalton by his side as well as the council, Dalton is about to receive a special medal from Mayor Geno Martini. Asked about his experience after coming home Dalton said, “It’s great to know there is all this support.” For full story see the sports section in tomorrow’s paper.
