RENO — On Wednesday, Candido Aniceto-Trejo was taken into custody by the United States Marshall’s in Irving, Texas for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Aniceto-Trejo was a person of interest in the fatal hit & run accident that killed 44-year-old Eric Thomas, of Reno, on July 7.

The Reno Police Detectives issued a warrant for Aniceto-Trejo after investigating a hit-and-run involving his Toyota 4-Runner, which was also recovered in Texas.

Thomas was killed after being struck while riding his moped near North McCarran Boulevard and Northtowne Lane.

The Reno Police Department would like to express their appreciation to the United States Marshall’s Office in Reno, the local media, and citizens in our community for their assistance in locating Aniceto-Trejo.
