RENO — International Game Technology’s (IGT) recent employee picnic and barbecue helped support the Food Bank of Northern Nevada as IGT employees donated 7,295 pounds of non-perishable food to help provide meals to those in need in the community.
“These are extremely difficult times for so many families in our community and summer brings additional challenges while children are out of school,” said Staci Alonso, IGT chief marketing officer. “The IGT employees in the Reno campus rallied together to provide the Food Bank of Northern Nevada with more than three tons of food.”
The more than three tons of food donated by IGT employees will help northern Nevada residents struggling with hunger. The food bank’s service area spans across 90,000 square miles, feeding 97,000 northern Nevadans per month.
As a longtime and major supporter of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, IGT is committed to having a significant and positive impact on the community. For more information on donating to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, visit www.fbnn.org or call 331-3663.
