The program, which will take place in Reno, is the first debate agreed upon by the candidates. Mitch Fox, award-winning host of Nevada Week in Review, will serve as the moderator. The program is co-sponsored by the Reno Gazette-Journal and KUNR 88.7 public radio station.
“This is one of the most closely watched U.S. Senate races in the country,” Fox said. “Nevada public television stations have a reputation for providing election coverage that focuses on the candidates and the issues that matter the most to our voters, and I’m honored that both campaigns have accepted our invitation to participate in a statewide debate.”
