SPARKS — Sparks police are attempting to locate a suspect involved in a hit and run accident that occurred at 2:55 p.m. Thursday at the corner of N. McCarran Boulevard and Stanford Way.
The suspect’s vehicle was last seen heading eastbound on Greg Street heading away from N. McCarran Boulevard, driving at a high rate of speed, after hitting a motorcyclist.
The driver, who was reportedly short in stature, was driving a vehicle described to officers as a newer model burgundy Ford Taurus with dark, tinted windows. The vehicle was missing a black strip of rubber possibly from the front bumper, according to police.
The accident caused traffic on N. McCarran Boulevard to slow down during the investigation.
