Local couple arrested for high-dollar embezzlement

RENO — A two-month embezzlement investigation into two employees of a local company led to two arrests Thursday.

Husband and wife Heather and Eric Denning, of Reno, were charged with possible embezzlement in excess of $500,000 from Quadrant Information Services. Heather Denning (a.k.a. Heather McGuigan, Heather Hale, Heather Kerns), 37, was a manager at QIS and has been charged with embezzlement, money laundering, burglary, theft, forgery and uttering a forged instrument. Her husband, Eric, 40, has been charged with embezzlement, money laundering, burglary and theft.
