RENO — This week’s locals music series genres are rock ‘n’ roll and punk featuring The Flesh Hammers and The Letdowns at CommRow. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 Thursday.

Wondertaker Records recording artists The Flesh Hammers, fronted by enigmatic provocateur Blackie Crabtree, are a controversial and musically brilliant outfit who have succeeded in creating a sound all their own.

The LetDowns are two-time Spanish Springs High School Battle of the Bands champions. They play lots of good music and also eat lots of Wingstop.

Interested in joining the locals music series? On select Thursdays, CommRow hosts two local bands of any genre. This is a great way for local talent get exposed and keep making music.

Tickets cost $5 and 100 percent of proceeds go to the Children’s Cabinet, a local nonprofit. Cargo at CommRow is located at 255 N. Virginia St. in Reno.
