Team roping horse Rob stands patiently while his rider, Eric Rogers, suits him up with some protective boots at the Reno rodeo grounds Monday morning. The duo was preparing toward up and then compete in the Bob Feist Invitational (BFI) team roping competition Monday morning.
The BFI is in its 35th year and is the world’s richest one-day roping event, featuring a total pure of more than $800,000. The event, which was founded in 1977 by Bob Feist is held in conjunction with the Reno Rodeo, which runs through Saturday and offers nightly performances at 7 p.m.
