Reno fire investigators seek info about possible serial arsonist

RENO — Fire investigators are seeking help with information regarding a series of arson fires.

Since Wednesday, the Reno Fire Department has responded to 10 fires that have been set in the area between Moana Lane and Redfield Parkway. Additionally, in the past two weeks there have been intermittent fires that have been set to small rubbish piles, grass and dumpsters. The fires are taking place between midnight and about 5 a.m. Firefighters have been able to extinguish the fires before they spread.

The Reno Fire Department and Reno Police Department to aggressively pursuing these arsonist(s). Anyone with information about these crimes to contact the Secret Witness Program at 322-4900 where they can provide information anonymously, or fire investigators at 334-2300.
