Sparks musician to perform at Carmel Bach Festival

CARMEL, Calif. — Among the world-class artists to be featured at the 75th annual Carmel Bach Festival this July will be Erin Finkelstein, a clarinetist from Sparks.

Finkelstein, who currently lives in Sacramento, Calif., received her bachelor’s in music from the University of the Pacific and performs frequently with the Sacramento Philharmonic, Modesto Symphony and Stockton Symphony.

Led by world-renowned music director Paul Goodwin, the Carmel Bach Festival is a renowned celebration of music and ideas inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach, set amidst the stunning architectural and natural landscapes of Carmel, Calif. With a theme of “Spheres of Influence,” this year’s edition explores the impact of Bach on music from around the world. It runs from July 14 through 28 at Carmel’s Sunset Center and other venues.
