BOULDER CITY (AP) — Emergency crews are responding to a single-engine aircraft that went down in a desert area near the Boulder City Municipal Airport.

Boulder City Police Chief Tom Finn says rescuers are using four-wheel drive vehicles to get to the wreckage after the small jet crashed after 12:30 p.m. Friday.

Finn says the crash site is in the middle of the desert and says nobody on the ground has been injured.

Police dispatchers say it’s not immediately clear how many people were aboard. Boulder City is about 30 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
