RENO — Brüka Theatre in Reno has two weekends left of “The God of Carnage.”

Tony DeGeiso directs this wickedly funny play that asks what happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behavior of their children. A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums and tears before bedtime? This Tony award-winning 90-minute dark comedy enjoyed a successful run on Broadway in 2009-2010 and enjoys its Nevada debut at Brüka Theatre. Described as a comedy of manners without manners, “The God Of Carnage” features actors Bradford Ka’ai’ai, Kristin Moffitt, Gary Cremeans and Mary Bennett behaving badly in bad circumstances.

This play contains strong language. Suggested for mature audiences only (ages 15 and older).

Performances are at 8 p.m. May 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25 and 26. A 2 p.m. show will be performed May 20 followed by a talk back with the company. The doors open a half an hour before curtain time.

Reservations are available by calling 323-3221 or online at www.bruka.org. Box office hours are 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Individual tickets cost $18 for general admission and $16 for students, seniors and military. All tickets cost $20 at the door. Brüka validates parking at the Parking Gallery on First and Sierra streets. Brüka Theatre is located at 99 N. Virginia St. in Reno. Visit Brüka online at www.bruka.org.
