RENO — The Children’s Cabinet has announced that the E.L. Wiegand Foundation will be the exclusive sponsor of the 2012 Art Of Childhood Fundraising Gala, which will be held on Sept. 14 in Carson City. This donation to underwrite the event will allow 100 percent of the funds raised at the gala to go directly to The Children’s Cabinet’s mission to keep children safe and families together.

“We are honored to support the mission of The Children’s Cabinet,” said Kristen Avansino, the foundation’s president and executive director. “Knowing that every dollar raised at the gala will flow directly to children and families will be gratifying to donors and participants.”

The Children’s Cabinet is a northern Nevada non-profit that provides resources to area families and children, including providing food and shelter, crisis intervention and case management, academic support, tutoring, job training and transitional living, parenting classes and family counseling.
