SPARKS — A man was arrested Thursday for being in possession of child pornography and a large number of financial records that did not belong to him, Sparks police reported Monday.

Chadwick Keoni Majamay was taken into custody in the area of 480 Galletti Way after police were told that Majamay was in possession of a bag containing several photographs depicting children under the age of 16 in various stages of undress and involved in sexual acts.

Also located in Majamay’s personal items were a large number of financial records that contained personal information, credit card account information and various security questions for those accounts that appeared legitimate. Officers said that at least one individual listed on the printouts contained in Majamay’s personal property was a victim of fraud in the last few months. A second victim was located and it was determined that Majamay did not have consent to obtain or have in his possession the victims financial information.

Majamay is a convicted Tier 2 sex offender with a 2008 conviction for possession of visual pornography of a person under the age of 16.

Police do not know how Majamay came into possession of the financial documents that listed in excess of 800 credit card accounts for individuals who live in the United States and in other countries.
