May 5: Spring Container Workshop for Novices and Experienced Gardeners — Join plant doctor and high desert gardener extraordinaire Lisa Braginton as she teaches the essentials of creating a living container and shares design and planting tips that can be used anywhere in the garden. Participants will leave with a 15-inch, 3-gallon container complete with spillers, fillers and a thriller that easily can be transferred to an urn or pot at home. May 12: Dr. Earth Answer Man — From 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Moana Lane store, Chaplin will be available to analyze lawn and garden problems. Learn how to live every day healthier and safer by using organic fertilizers and insect, fungus and weed controls. Free samples will be available.
May 19: Creating a Back Yard Bird Habitat — Join plant doctor and long-time high desert gardener Jon Bruyn to learn how easy it is create a back yard habitat that that attracts a variety of birds.
