Rash of smash-and-grab burglaries in Sparks

SPARKS — The Sparks Police Department is investigating a series of commercial burglaries that began on Sunday. To date, police say there has been a total of seven commercial burglaries where the suspect(s) have broken windows and then made entry into the buildings. In some cases, the glass appears to have been damaged by some type of round projectile before being broken to allow entry.

The incidents are listed below:

• Sunday at Marble Slab, 2835 N. McCarran Blvd. (Case #12-03437)

• Sunday at PJ’s Liquor Store, 1293 Baring Blvd. (Case #12-03471)

• Monday at Sneaker’s Bar, 1380 Disc Drive (Case #12-03479)

• Tuesday at Baskin Robbins, 1145 N. McCarran Blvd. (Case #12-03505)

• Tuesday at Paul’s Market, 1550 Vance Way (Case #12-03506)

• Tuesday at Prism Magic and Clothing, 2161 Pyramid Way (Case #12-03520)

• Wednesday at Baskin Robbins, 1145 N. McCarran Blvd. (Case #12-03551)

The suspects only have been identified as men wearing clothes to hide their identity. There is no other information available at this time.
