RENO — A 49-year-old man was sentenced Tuesday to life without parole for numerous acts of lewdness with minors.
Craig Allen Hoffman, who had been the target of the Northern Nevada Repeat Offender Program, was sentenced by Judge Jerry Polaha. Hoffman, who was convicted by a jury earlier in the year of committing four counts of lewdness with a minor under 14, was also sentenced as a habitual criminal. Hoffman has 21 arrests and 11 prior felony convictions over the course of 31 years.
During the trial, Washoe County district attorneys successfully argued that Hoffman committed lewdness with a child under 14 over the course of four or five years.
