RENO — Leaders of all sectors of northern Nevada’s economy will convene for the second time at 9 a.m. Thursday for “ReCharge Nevada.” The summit is designed to address the challenges and opportunities facing the region. The event begins at 9 a.m. and will be held in the Washoe County Commission Chambers located at 1001 E. Ninth St. The public is welcome to attend.

ReCharge Nevada is a regional economic development group made up of key government and business leaders whose mission is to create a path toward economic recovery and contribute to implementing a statewide economic development strategy.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear more about the economic development plans proposed by the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) and the Northern Nevada Development Authority. Representatives from the Governor’s Office on Economic Development will be on hand to discuss the progress in creating a statewide economic development structure.
