Nev. panel talks historic plots against presidents

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Historians are gathering in Las Vegas to discuss historic death plots against the president.

The panel discussion set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nevada State Museum at Springs Preserve includes author Sally Denton, who wrote a book about the deep political strife during the Great Depression and plots against President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Panelists include University of Nevada, Las Vegas history professor Eugene Moehring, former state archivist Guy Rocha and Reno News and Review editor Dennis Myers, who will also be analyzing the current economic and political climates.

The event is moderated by the museum's history curator, Dennis McBride.
