RENO, Nev. (AP)- State troopers are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident on Pyramid Highway.

The victim has been identified as Russell James Boyle. The patrol says he was headed north on his 2007 Harley Davidson between midnight and 6 a.m. Sunday when he apparently drifted off the highway and down a steep embankment near Ironwood Road.

A trooper discovered his body after noticing gravel, skidmarks and a boot along the road about 6:45 a.m. Investigators say evidence at the scene indicates alcohol may have been a factor and that someone may have witnessed the accident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Nevada Highway Patrol at 687-0400.
