RENO — Foodies, wine-lovers and do-gooders are invited to “Taste for Jazz #5,” a Mardi Gras-themed fundraiser for CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada from 5:30 to 9 p.m. April 26 at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa.

Attendees will “bougaloo” to Reno Sax Man, sip wine from more than 50 regional wineries and sample dishes from local hotspots, including Campo, the GourMelt food truck and the Cheese Board and Wine Seller.

Attendees can also bid their “doubloons” for this worthy cause at a silent auction. Items up for bid will include a ceremonial first pitch at a Reno Aces game, original artwork, a full teeth whitening package to a diamond buying trip to Antwerp.

Every dollar raised from auction and ticket sales offers someone in our community the opportunity for a healthier and happier life through CARE Chest’s free services, which include medical equipment, supplies and emergency prescriptions.

Tickets cost $75 per person for $650 for a table of eight and are available online at www.carechest.org. For more information, call CARE Chest 829-2273 or visit www.carechest.org.
