On Tuesday, a joint operation with the Eureka County Sheriff's Office, White Pine County Sheriff's Office, Shoshone Tribal Police, the Ely Fire Department and the Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force seized more than 200 grams of Marijuana valued at over $3,000, various paraphernalia and other unidentified prescription drugs.

Dale Cummings, 24, and Angelina Richardson, 18, both of 195 W. 15th St. in Ely were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of marijuana over 1 ounce, both felonies.

Officers had visited the residence the previous day following up on a tip they had received and although Cummings and Richardson were not cooperative, detectives noted an intense odor of marijuana emitting from the residence.

The Task Force utilized the Eureka County Sheriff's Office narcotics canine (Bruce) instrumental in locating narcotics evidence while executing the search warrant.

The investigation is ongoing and future arrests are expected.

Concerned citizens in counties of Lincoln, White Pine and Eureka are encouraged to report narcotics activities to the Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force at (775) 289-1660.

Here we go again...law enforcement as they call themselves going after pot. The fact is, we allow tobacco which kills 400,000 thousand annually, alcohol 100,000 annually, all LEGAL drugs 20,000 and even Aspirin causes approx. 500 deaths annually and Marijuana remains at ZERO, but yet our so called law enforcement has went OUT OF CONTROL.

They lock up Americans...yes these people are AMERICANS who choose to be FREE as their constitution given right and because we have some politicians who has sold out to some pharmaceutical company, we send out people in badges to lock them up like animals. We all should be outraged and learn the facts once and for all. Get educated at nevadanorml.org
