Great Basin advisory council to meet April 19

ELKO — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Northeastern Great Basin Resource Advisory Council (RAC) will hold a meeting on April 19 at the California Trail Interpretive Center. The public is invited to attend.

The meeting will take place at the California Trail Interpretive Center located off Interstate 80 at Hunter exit 282. The meeting will begin promptly at 8 a.m.

Agenda items for discussion include: term permit renewal process, greater sage-grouse environmental impact statement, recreation travel management, creation of a wild horse and burro subcommittee and the Battle Mountain resource management plan.

The public can present general written and/or oral comments to the council beginning at 10:30 a.m. An agenda is posted online at www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/res/resource_advisory/northeastern_great.html.
