SPARKS — Registration is open for the city of Sparks’ golf program for the spring and summer season held at Wildcreek Golf Course, 3500 Sullivan Lane. Adults 16 years and older, and youth age 7 to 15 years, can participate in mixed classes at 6 p.m. Wednesdays, May 16 through June 20 or June 27 through Aug. 1. Classes for adults only are offered on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. There also are classes for seniors (ages 50 and older) at 9 a.m. on Tuesdays, May 15 through June 19 or June 26 through July 31.

Beginners have the opportunity to adopt new skills, such as grip techniques, basic swing components, putting and chipping. Intermediate-level players can perfect their swings and improve their overall game. Small class sizes ensure ample individual attention during each one-hour class. Cost per session: Mixed classes are $168 or $140 for Sparks residents; adult classes are $115 or $96 for Sparks residents; and senior classes are $88 for residents and non-residents.

Register online at or at the Recreation Office, 98 Richards Way. For more information, call 353-7780 or e-mail
