RENO — Investors and local community members can now follow the development of a three-year Economic Development Plan for Greater Reno-Sparks-Tahoe through a new section on the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) website.

The “Strategic Plan” section, launched Wednesday at www.edawn.org/strategicplan, includes a regularly updated draft of the plan, a schedule of community input meetings and important deadlines around the plan, announcements and the option to provide feedback to the plan.

“As we prepare for the future recovery and success of greater Reno-Sparks-Tahoe, it’s important to ensure that the needs and wants of the community are truly reflected in the plan we produce,” said Mike Kazmierski, president and CEO of EDAWN, who is helping to develop the plan that EDAWN and partners will follow through 2015.

In March, EDAWN began hosting small, industry-specific focus groups inviting industry experts and company CEOs from around the region to participate. The industry focus groups, which include technology, manufacturing, back office/business support, distribution/e-

commerce and clean energy carry on through April and will be the basis of the updated plan to be released in draft by April 30.
