RENO — Reno Police Detectives have linked five robberies to 33-year-old Robert Davies of Reno who was arrested Wednesday by Sparks Police officers after committing a robbery similar to a string of robberies committed in the Reno area during the past month.

The Reno Police Department began an investigation into a robbery that occurred at the AM/PM at 1390 S. Virginia St. on Feb. 25. During the days that followed, several more robberies occurred at the International Market, the same AM/PM and a Chevron. These robberies appeared to be part of a series committed by the same suspect.

Davies fit the description of the suspect, who targeted convenience stores in five robberies and a private citizen in one of the robberies at International Market. Detectives are continuing the investigation to determine if the suspect might be responsible for more crimes, including the first robbery they believe to be linked to the series that occurred on Feb. 25.
