KIRKWOOD, Calif. — Iration, a Santa Barbara, Calif.-based reggae group hailing from the Hawaiian islands known for playing a mix of dub, rock and Sunshine Reggae music will headline the inaugural High Up Fest on Saturday at Kirkwood Mountain Resort.

The band’s success from its debut full-length album, “No Time For Rest,” featuring one of the last recorded performances by reggae legend Mikey Dread, led to the recording of its commercially successful “Turn Around” from their Time Bomb LP. Iration has shared the stage with musical acts including Kings of Leon, 311, Incubus and O.A.R. and continues to keep busy touring and playing musical festivals across the United States.

The inaugural High Up Fest, a one-day musical event that brings together the popular reggae movement with rock and hip hop, will host a national line-up of musical acts at Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Other confirmed acts Collie Buddz, Kelley James, The New Kingston Band, The Movement and Zion I.

The festival runs from 1:30 to 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 209-258-6000 or visit www.kirkwood.com.
