Junior League accepting grant proposals

RENO — Junior League of Reno, an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism and developing the potential of women, is accepting grant proposals from qualified community programs. Grants will be awarded through the league’s Community Enrichment Fund.

To be eligible for funding, applicants be 501(c)(3) non-profits and show the benefit of their program to women and children. A maximum of $10,000 will be awarded.

Recent Community Enrichment Fund grant recipients include the following: The African-American Community Cultural Education Program & Trainings; The Assistance League of Reno-Sparks; Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows’ “Girls Getting Fit” and “SMART Girls” programs; Bristlecone Family Resources’ “A Woman’s Road to Recovery” program; Horses for the Spirit; Camp Lotsafun; Nevada Diabetes Association for Camp Buck; Food Bank of Northern Nevada’s Kids Café; and Canine Officer Program of Washoe County School District.
