RENO — Officers responded to the 1300 Block of Silverada Boulevard around 7 p.m. Sunday regarding numerous small explosions. Three juveniles were seen running from the area. Officers located the remnants of seven broken plastic bottles and large pieces of tin foil in the area.

These improvised devices are constructed easily from simple, readily available household items and are very dangerous, police said. Citizens are reminded that these devices are capable of producing a powerful blast that can cause injury and property damage. The devices will usually be made with a clear plastic bottle and will have a dark-colored liquid and tin foil in them.

The Reno Police Department would like to remind citizens to remain clear of these devices to avoid any potential injury.

Anyone with information about this crime or the suspects should contact the Reno Police Department at 334-2115, or Secret Witness at 322-4900, report online at www.secretwitness.com or text the tip to 847411 (TIP 411) keyword “SW.”
