RENO — Registration begins March 24 for another summer of KIDS University, presented by Extended Studies at the University of Nevada, Reno.
This day camp is open to children entering grades 2 through 8, with seven weeklong sessions to energize minds and bodies all summer long. The camp runs Monday through Friday, from June 11 to July 27. Online registration is available from 8 a.m. March 24 through July 22. Early registration is encouraged as sessions can fill fast. KIDS U is held on the UNR campus and offers nearly 60 topics including such activities as rock climbing, dance, art, writing, comedy improv, math, computers, science, sports and games, and much more.
KIDS U offers both full-day and half-day (morning) options. Full-day sessions run Monday-Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a lunch break followed by afternoon recreational activities; half-day sessions run from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Individual fees range from $156 to $205 per week for full-day camp and $104 to $140 per week for half-day camp. A $25 deposit per weekly session is due at registration, which holds your space in camp; full payment is due two weeks prior to the start of each weekly session.
