Suspect sought in robbery at AM/PM store

RENO — Police are asking for help finding the man who robbed an AM/PM convenience store Saturday night.

At 10:30 p.m., officers responded to 1390 S. Virginia St. on a report of an armed robbery. The investigation revealed that a white male entered the store and told three of the customers already inside to leave. The suspect then demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled the business on foot, and was last seen eastbound on Pueblo Avenue. The clerk was not injured during the crime.

The suspect is described as being 5-feet 9-inches tall, weighing 170 to 180 pounds and last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt, white T-shirt and blue jeans. The suspect was armed with a handgun.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
