RENO — Explore the benefits and “how-to” of government contracting for women at a workshop on March 15 sponsored by the Nevada Small Business Development Center. Take advantage of the goal of 5 percent of federal contracts to be set aside for women-owned small businesses.

At this workshop, you will:

• Find out if your business is eligible.

• Hear tips from a successful woman business owner and government contractor.

• Talk with a contracting expert who can help you navigate the system and limit your competition.

Presenters will be Vickie Francovich, CEO and owner of Building Solutions, and Kathy Agee-Dow, director of the Nevada Procurement Outreach Program.

The workshop will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Washoe County Administrative Complex at 1001 E. Ninth St. in Reno in the conference room of Building.

To register for this free workshop, call 784-1717. For more information, call Judith Hepburn with the Small Business Administration at 827-4923.
