Alan Paul Prince, beloved husband and father, passed away February 26, 2012.
Alan was born September 20, 1968 in Norfolk, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife Wendy, daughters Morgan, Myrissa and Kamryn and son Austin from Sparks, Nevada; parents Dale and Linda Prince from Nevada, Missouri; brother Cory and sister-in-law Tara; parents-in-law Bob and Margie Welch; sisters-in-law Kelly and Paul Townsend, Kim Huntsman and Steve Mashour; brother-in-law Rob and Carissa Welch and several nieces and nephews.
Alan was a dedicated and devoted husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. Alan’s life revolved around his family – his pride and joy. Whether it was being his kids’ biggest fan at their sporting events, a family get-together, or a lazy day rooting for the Cornhuskers, Alan devoted himself to his wife and children. To them, he was more than a husband and Dad -- he was a best friend. Thousands called him friend. Hundreds called him mentor. Many called him coach. Others called him uncle, brother-in-law and son-in-law; four called him Dad, two called him son. One called him brother and one called him husband and soul mate. We all called him family.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30am, on Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2900 N. McCarran Blvd., Sparks, Nevada 89431. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alan Prince Benefit Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
