RENO — Empire Comedy will mark its fourth anniversary this week with a show at 9 p.m. Friday in the Good Luck Macbeth Theatre, 119 Virginia St.

Empire Comedy performs weekly long-form improv, in two acts: “Like a Banshee” and “The George Collection” on Fridays at 10:30 p.m. These shows are 100 percent made up on the spot. Empire Comedy has expanded its performance cast and now has three different teams performing. The first half will be the new student team in “The George Collection” and the second half will be the house team in “Like a Banshee.”

Empire Comedy is also an improv school with three levels of classes and a weekly drop-in class. The next level one class starts in March and will be held Thursdays from 7 to 10 p.m. through May 17. The drop-in class runs every Sunday at 7 p.m.

Admission to Friday’s four-year anniversary show costs $10.
