RENO — On Feb. 29, local businessmen and businesswomen will be “kidnapped” to raise funds to support the ongoing services offered by CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada.

Executive Kidnap participants will contact friends and business associates to raise “ransom,” while enjoying table games, food, cocktails and prizes. All funds raised at the event, now in its 21st year, will provide free medical services to local children and adults.

Since 1990, CARE Chest has provided free medical supplies, equipment and prescription assistance to northern Nevadans in need. Last year, CARE Chest helped 9,830 local families with medical equipment, diabetic supplies, emergency prescriptions and more, free of charge.
