USGBC to honor local members

RENO — The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) of Nevada’s annual leadership awards program on March 1 is the organization’s way of recognizing its dedicated members, friends of the chapter and green building leaders in our community.

The USGBC Nevada congratulates the following award recipients:

• Advocacy: Bob Tregilus (individual) and NV Energy (organization)

• LEED: Kimberly Phipps-Nichol (individual) and Schluter Systems Nevada (organization)

• Education: Mehdi Etezadi (individual) and Envirolution (organization)

• Research: DRI Net Zero Building (organization)

• Community: Reno City Councilman Dave Aiazzi (individual) and Black Rock Solar (organization)

• Organizational Excellence: New 2 U Computers

The program will take place at 11:30 a.m. in the Gui Denby Building in the Learning Center at 855 S. Center St. in Reno. Cost is $10 for members and $25 for non-members. To register, visit www.usgbcnv.org.
