RENO — Area Jewish organizations will host a community Purim party at 6:30 p.m. on March 10 at the Atlantis Resort Casino.

Purim is one of the most festive of the Jewish holidays. It is a time of great laughter, noise makers and food. The festival of Purim celebrates the deliverance from the Jews from a destructive plot, as described in the Biblical book of Esther.

The March 10 festivities will include a costume contest, Israeli dancing, belly dancing, traditional Mediterranean food and raffle prizes. The party is open to all.

Cost to attend is $18 in advance, $25 at the door, $5 for students and free for children under 13. For more information, call 322-5542.
