Valencia’s trial began Monday in the Second Judicial District Court. The offenses were committed in south Reno against a single girl in December 2009, according to Deputy District Attorney Rebecca Druckman. Valencia worked two jobs as a maintenance man when the crimes were committed, Druckman said.
Judge Patrick Flanagan presided over Valencia’s trial. Valencia is expected to be sentenced April 13 in Department 7. Valencia was represented by John Olson. Druckman presented the state’s case against Valencia.
