The event provides individuals and families experiencing homelessness free services such as medical care, social services, housing information and quality of life services such as haircuts and massages.
This is the fourth year the city of Reno has organized the event with participation largely coming from agencies belonging to the Reno Area Alliance for the Homeless.
Project Homeless Connect is a nationwide best practice and is held in more than 200 communities around the world each year.
Volunteers and donations of pastries, toiletries, socks, hats and gloves are still needed for this event. To volunteer or donate, contact Krista Lee with the city of Reno at 657-4675.
