The governors of Alabama, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin have joined the proclamation. Mayor Michael Hancock of Denver, Colo. and Mayor Jim Reynolds of Eagle, Idaho have also signed proclamations recognizing the week.
Organizers said they expected governors of at least five additional states and other cities to sign proclamations by the end of National School Choice Week.
