Rewards in 99 Cent Store, Dad’s robberies

RENO — Secret Witness is offering rewards in two recent robbery cases.

First, there is a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with attempted armed robbery of the 99 Cent Plus store 45 W. Second St. At 11:52 a.m. Sunday, a while man in his 40s or 50s entered the store, selected various items and went to the register. When the clerk began to ring the items up, the man pulled out a black colored semi-automatic handgun. Another person entered the store and the man fled west on West Second Street without taking anything. The suspect is described as being about 5-feet 8-inches tall with brown hair, weighing about 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a wearing a black hat, black trench coat, black sunglasses, tan pants and black shoes. The store suffered no loss.

Secret Witness also is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the armed robbery of Dad’s Quick Mart at 5212 Sparks Blvd. in Sparks.

At 1:45 a.m. Monday, a while man in his early 20s armed handgun entered the store and robbed the clerk. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black bandana over his face.
