In hopes that viewers of the new Paramount Pictures film release, “Hotel for Dogs,” will be inspired to save a life, Nevada Humane Society is offering a special discounted adoption rate for anyone presenting their movie ticket stub this weekend. Visit the Nevada Humane Society’s shelter Friday through Sunday and present your movie ticket stub from “Hotel for Dogs” and you’ll receive a special adoption rate of $35 for adult dogs and cats. That’s $15 off the normal adoption rate of $50. All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

“Hotel for Dogs” is about two children forced to hide their ownership of their beloved dog, Friday, as they move from one foster home to another. They secretly turn a closed hotel into a home for Friday and any other strays they find. The movie reinforces that every dog deserves a loving home and though done with humor, is still a very important message. You can help homeless pets by adopting a shelter dog (or cat) at Nevada Humane Society.

“There are lots of great, adorable dogs ready and waiting for a good home,” said Marc Peralta, Nevada Humane Society’s dog care manager. “Whether you’re looking for an active, playful dog or a fellow couch potato, we’ve got just the dog for you. Stop by and one of the adoption counselors can help you find just the right dog or cat for you and your family.”

Nevada Humane Society is located at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno will be open on Friday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 856-2000.
