Washoe’s application for The State Ed Tech Implementation Grant was given the top score and the district received most of what was requested. These projects will help the district address all of the “Common Core State Standards” and “Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium” practices. These projects align with the district’s strategic plan, technology plan, Nevada’s Technology Plan and the ISTE NETS-S.
Another grantee’s project in Elko will benefit all Nevada school districts. This award will fund the eLearning for Educators online professional development courses. This project is a partnership between the school districts of Elko, Washoe County, and KNPB Channel 5.
