RENO — The Washoe County School District will hold a news conference, moderated by Chief of School Police Mike Mieras, at 10 a.m. Tuesday to “kick off a year-long community awareness campaign about the issue of bullying,” district spokesperson Nancy Leuenhagen said in a press release sent Friday.
The event will take place at Clayton Middle School, 1295 Wyoming Ave. in Reno.
Attendees will hear from District Superintendent Heath Morrison, counseling coordinator Katherine Loudon, school police chief Mieras, Clayton Middle School Principal Bruce Meissner and student speakers.
