Reward offered in robbery case

RENO – Secret Witness is offering a reward in the amount of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of The Hop Ice Cream Shop at 95 N. Sierra St. in Reno.

On Nov. 22, at about 2:04 p.m., the suspect entered the store and placed an order for ice cream. When the clerk opened the cash register, the suspect jumped over the counter and took the cash. The suspect fled southbound on North Sierra Street on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned white male adult, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a blue baseball cap on backwards with an unknown logo, blue zipped-up jacket and blue pants.

The Reno Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
