RENO — Students at Bishop Manogue Catholic High School collected more than 6,600 food items and more than $1,800 in cash to purchase groceries, during their annual school-wide Thanksgiving food drive —more than double what was collected during last year’s drive.
“They came up with some very creative ways to solicit donations from the community,” said teacher and organizer Anna Campbell. “We’re proud of them.”
The school partners with Sister Carmen at Our Lady of Snows Catholic Church and Holy Child Early Learning Center to distribute the food to hundreds of families throughout the community.
